!Land records Lancaster Cty., PA. Walter Newman Jr purchased 234 acres of land in two adjoining tracts from John Richard and Thomas Penn 16 October, 1735 for 36 lbs. 5 Shillings and 4 Pence. The land was surveyed and leased. It was called Newtown now called Newmanstown.
