Notes for Thomas J. LOWARY


Thomas J. Lowary
Carthage, Ill., Nov 7. -- Funeral services for Thomas Jefferson Lowary
will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 in West Point Assembly of God church
with burial in Buckeye cemetery.
Mr. Lowary was found dead in the barn of his farm, one and one half
miles southeast of Breckenridge, Wednesday night at 9. Mr Lowary was
born on a farm in Walker township, March 8, 1887, son of Robert and
Martha Elston Lowary. He was a member of the Breckenridge Christian
church during his earlier years, but later transferred his membership to
the West Point Assembly of God Church.
Mr. Lowary was married to Zephie Elsie Speer, April 19, 1913. They are
the parents of five children, two of whom died in infancy.
Surviving children are Mrs. Reva Fryer of East Moline, Mrs. Mabel Bragg
of Mendon and Harry Lowary of Loraine; two grandchildren, Duane and Delma
Jean Lowary of Sutter; two brothers, Charles Lowary of Sutter and Ed
Lowary of Ewing, MO., and three sisters, Mrs Jane Keil and Mrs. Rosa Rabe
of Quincy and Mrs Mae Newman of Elvaston. One sister and a brother
preceded him in death.
